In my Pocket Challenge

This week the challenge was to include a star in your pocket. Now I know it is only September but have decided to make a christmas pocket. For the outside of the pocket used some christmas paper from Crafty Individuals. They have some gorgeous small books of paper. Lined the pocket with selection of blue paper from Hot off the Press. For the top half used paper with stars and cut out one star from another piece painted it gold and added glitter. Have used some clear nativity stamps from Lakeland inside the pocket and a Tim Holtz quote stamp. Edged the pocket with gold krylon pen. I love Christmas and especially the nativity plays at school. Always need to take the tissues after weeks of practising they sing Away in a Manager bless them. One of the head dresses falls off at the last minute and then the shepherd loses the sheep! Brings back lots of memories when I was at school and my kids. All those costumes to make, bits of tinsel for the angels, teatowel head dresses for the shepherds and that all important star. I love the nativity story. Christmas has such a special meaning a time for everyone just to take a bit of time to sit back and remember good times, sometimes bad times but to share just that little special time. Well here I go all soppy but thats my little star in the pocket.
