Sunday Stampers Challenge

This week the Sunday Stampers challenge was to include a butterfly. Gothic arches challenge was to include some buttons and I have made a second arch incorporating a butterfly as well as some buttons. The buttterfly image is a PSX stamp and I have put some small gems in the centre to highlight. Coloured in the image using aquatone pens.

On Dan's site every week he puts on free templates you can download. Thank you Dan for the butterfly template. If you get a chance pop along to have a look at Dan's blog, gorgeous works of art on there, there is a link in my favourites http://dan99.blogspot.com/ The Holocaust Museum in Houston is planning a major exhibition in Spring 2012 to commemorate the 1.5 million children who died during the Holocaust. The exhibition will take the form of a display of 1.5 million butterflies. They want crafters/scrapbookers/stampers to create the butterflies for them and send them to the museum. Butterflies can be no larger than 8" x 10" and must not have glitter on them. You can find more information on the project here http://www.hmh.org/minisite/butterfly/index.html I printed my butterfly on card and coloured it with distress ink pads, spiced marmalade, broken china and fired brick. Spritzed on some water. Added some stamped images, a Stampers Anonymous tile stamp, Inkadinkado snowflake stamp and Basic Grey flourish stamp. Edged in gold krylon pen.
